The sun sets. The sun sets, and all manner of creatures awake. Rising to the call of the crepuscular siren. How do they know it’s their time? For the sun reaches them not during the day. Eking out existences in twilight. Where do they find the energy? For sustenance is scarce. Why do they need the twilight? For the light and dark hold no welcome for them. They gracefully fill their respective niches, flaunting their success. However hard earned it may be... I walked. I walked, and those who passed wondered. Where has she come from? For no place was very near. Where does she go? For there was nothing ahead but miles more of road. Why does she carry shoes instead of wear them? Surely the road must be sharp. Why in the black of night, with no lights to see by? Footing must be precarious.
